PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of smell during the disposal of the garbage and the smell of disposed garbage in the disposal by drying. SOLUTION: By sending nitrogen-enriched air generated by a nitrogen-oxygen separation section 3 into a drying chamber 1 and oxygen-enriched air into a deodorization section 2, the reaction of the heat applied to dry the garbage and the oxygen in the air is reduced and the oxidation of organic materials and the generation of odorous substances by the polymeric product of the oxide thereof is suppressed, and the odors generated during the disposal and the odors remaining in the dried garbage after the disposal can be reduced. Also, the amount of the oxygen in the deodorization section 2 is increased and since the more efficient catalytic oxidation can be realized, the odors during drying can be more reduced and costs can be reduced; for example, the heating temperature of the catalyst can be lowered and the catalyst can be suppressed less in volume.
