PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-bit D/A converter for which analog output linearity relative to a digital input has been improved. SOLUTION: A switch control circuit 1 turns on switches whose number corresponds to a digital signal DIG among S1 to SM in an ascending order of switching determined by a start position determining circuit 3, and other switches are turned off. The start position determining circuit 3 sequentially changes the switch that serves as a selection start position, for example S1, S3 and S5 and so on, for each input of the digital signal DIG which is obtained in synchronization with a clock signal CLK, and the selection start position is determined.
