PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output an image of a color corresponding to the color of a printed image. SOLUTION: A server 26 uses image data based on an L*a*b* value accepted from a color compound machine 24 and a device profile of a scanner unit 240 to calculates respective L*a*b* values of colors of an image printed on an output sample 20. Furthermore, the server 26 extracts input/output characteristics making image data based on RGB values inputted to an image printer 18 correspond to the respective L*a*b* values of the colors of the image printed by the image printer 18 in accordance with the image data, and subtracts, from the extracted input/output characteristics, a change of a color value caused by printing the image by an image output unit 220 with its original characteristics, to create a color conversion table. An output center 22 converts (color-corrects) the image data accepted from a PC 16 using the color conversion table, and an image corresponding to the converted image data is printed by the image output unit 220.
