PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device in which data can be written except a manufacturing time and which can prevent a forgery by rewriting and to further provide a cheap semiconductor device which consists of memories of simple structure. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes a field effect transistor formed on a single crystal semiconductor substrate, a first conductive layer provided on the field effect transistor, an organic compound layer provided on the first conductive layer, and a second conductive layer provided on the organic compound layer in which a memory element consists of the first conductive layer, the organic compound and the second conductive layer.
