PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistance with which both a transmission image and virtual image in an actual view field can be satisfactorily observed and which is easy to grip. SOLUTION: The personal digital assistance can be selectively switched to a first use mode and a second use mode. In the first use mode, light from an electronic information display section 101 is reflected to a user OBS by moving the electronic information display section 101 and a semi-transmission optical element 102 so that they face each other with a prescribed space between them, and also information displayed on the electronic information display section 101 is displayed and observed in an actual view field as a virtual image VI in an overlapping manner, by transmitting light from the actual view field in the direction of the line of the sight of the user OBS. In the second use mode, the information displayed on the electronic information display section 101 is directly observed by moving the electronic information display section 101 to the position where it can be observed by the user OBS.
