PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover body for a functional pipe capable of protecting the end part of the functional pipe and a method of manufacturing the cover body. SOLUTION: The soundproof pipe 2 is covered with a soundproof material 20 having a soft sound absorbing layer 21 formed of a raw material with water absorbency formed on the outer peripheral surface of a pipe 10. The cover body 1 used for the soundproof pipe 2 is formed of a material with water repellency, and comprises a cover part and a cylindrical part 40.
