PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a conventional mechanical pencil needs a replacement lead case to be always kept nearby for lead supply with a trouble such as the forgetting of a place for keeping the lead case or the short supply of replacement leads to be otherwise stored adequately in the case, and further, that the troublesome insertion of even a single piece of the replacement lead through a head of the mechanical pencil by deliberately picking it up, is not an easy job, especially for a child or an aged person, besides, with an extra attention to be paid to the possible breakage of the replacement lead and the soiling of a sheet by the hand smeared by the replacement lead often occurs. SOLUTION: The replacement lead case can be used in the state that it is fitted into a replacement lead insertion part of the mechanical pencil. Alternatively, the replacement lead case is fitted into an eraser fitting part of the mechanical pencil. In addition, the case is equipped with a dial for adjusting the number of droppings of the replacement lead, and the inserted replacement lead can be seen through.
