PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize thermal stencil printing equipment which makes it possible to always obtain a stable printed image without being affected by a thermal head temperature, an ink temperature or others and can provide a printed matter suitable in all environments. SOLUTION: In this printing equipment, a detecting means 41 for detecting temperature information on a thermal head 10 at least is provided and platemaking is conducted while the amount of variation of energy put in the thermal head 10 is varied adaptably on the basis of the temperature information in a plurality. The amount of variation of energy put in the thermal head 10 in the case when some temperature information is given is set to be equal to or larger than that in the case when the temperature is relatively lower than that of the temperature information. Thereby it is possible to supply a proper quantity of ink onto printing paper in any environment of a high to low temperature and such a problem as setoff or winding-up of the printing paper can be solved.
