PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of injecting a contrast agent to be injected to a patient and a lesion plotting system for preparing the diagnostic image of the lesion of the patient which realize reduction in the amount of the contrast agent to be injected to the patient. SOLUTION: The method of injecting the contrast agent comprises the steps of: injecting a small amount of the contrast agent from a syringe A1 and measuring the time Tarv from injection start to the arrival of the contrast agent at the lesion with the use of an imaging apparatus 2; subtracting arrival time Tarv from the time Tscan required for injecting the sufficient amount of the contrast agent and defining the time T1; scanning the lesion together with the injection start of the contrast agent for an amount required for imaging the lesion; and stopping the injection of the contrast agent after the time lapse of T1 or T1+αfrom the contrast agent injection start.
