PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of reducing the sensible temperature when a user touches an outer lid by hand during the rice boiling in a conventional rice cooker with the outer lid to which a metal decorative sheet is attached with an intention of improving the rice-boiling performance by increasing the heat quantity supplied to a cooked object in a boil-up process and in a steaming process in the rice-cooking sequence and facilitating making the rice starchy. SOLUTION: The rice cooker comprises a rice cooker body for detachably storing a pot, the outer lid for opening/closing an opening of the rice cooker body, and a heating means for heating the pot. The metal decorative sheet is attached to the outer surface of the outer lid; and a space, whose size is not uniform but different according to positions, is disposed between the outer lid and the decorative sheet. Ribs are disposed to form lattices in the space, and the ribs which form lattices are characterized by such a form of the ribs that there is at least one part where there is no rib.
