Electrical circuit (10) has controllable transistors (27,28) connected in series whose common connection point is coupled with piezoelectric element (11,12,13,14). One transistor with helping act is fitted in piezoelectric element for unloading in case of error. Electrical circuit has means for producing helping act. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Method for control of piezoelectric element; (B) Computer program for application in method; (C) Electrical storage medium for controller; and (D) Controller for fuel injection system of motor vehicle.
