A method for automatic testing and/or quality evaluation of data transmission from an analog data carrier onto a digital data store in which the transmission of analog data results from at least two methods for treatment/conditioning which are used sequentially, and that these various data are compared with one another in the digital sphere and the result of comparison is used for detection of random errors during the treatment/conditioning process.
