BIOFILM FORMATION INHIBITOR AND TREATMENT APPLIANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment appliance such as a bile duct stent capable of effectively and permanently inhibiting a biofilm formation by destroying all kinds of bacteria including Escherichia coli or suppressing the proliferation of bacteria and to provide biofilm formation inhibitor suited for applying to the treatment appliance.

SOLUTION: This biofilm formation inhibitor is provided with a certain amount of catechins effective for inhibiting the biofilm formation and a carrier suited for attaching the catechins to the treatment appliance to be indwelled in the organism.
