<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image management device capable of automatically retrieving and printing only the missing part of pages in the case that a user loses a part of the pages a long time after original is prepared. <P>SOLUTION: First, the image management device is provided with a read means for reading an original on which page information is printed and a detection means for detecting missing pages on the basis of the page information of the read original. Thus, in the stage of reading the original, which page of the original is missing can be determined. Then, a specifying means for retrieving image data stored in a storage means and specifying the image data of the detected missing page is provided. In such a manner, since only the missing page is specified on the basis of the page information, a processing is accelerated. Then, a printing means for printing the specified image data is provided.
