PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive concentrate which contains a perbasic metal cleaning agent and a high level organic friction-adjusting agent and whose ingredients do no interact to form precipitates. SOLUTION: This lubricant additive concentrate is characterized by comprising a lubricating viscous oil, a basic metal complex, an oil-soluble hydrocarbyl phenolaldehyde condensate, and an organic friction-adjusting agent containing at least one hydroxyl group or amino group in an amount of at least 1.7 mass% based on the total mass of the condensate.
