PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device of a battery electrode plate capable of restraining scatter of filling quantity of activator paste, and manufacturing with optimum filling quantity of the activator paste in a width direction of a core material. SOLUTION: A surface density W1 at a first prescribed part SB of the flat plate-shaped core material 1 is measured, and a prescribed quantity of activator paste P is filled in the core material 1. Next, a part of the filled activator paste P is removed over whole width in width direction WT of the core material filled with paste IP. Further, a second surface density W2 at the first prescribed part SB or neighboring area thereof of the core material filled with paste IP is measured. The electrode plate for the battery is manufactured by adjusting removing quantity of the activator paste P by using the first surface density W1 and the second surface density W2 so that the surface density of the activator paste P becomes a prescribed value at a removing process.
