PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of a user using a navigation system. SOLUTION: When the user gets off a vehicle V and turns off an ignition key of the vehicle V, the power supply of a navigation device NAV is temporarily maintained in an ON state, and the vehicle positional information indicating the present position of the vehicle V is previously transmitted to a portable terminal MS or a server NS. A route from the present position of the user to the vehicle present position (parking position) is retrieved using the vehicle positional information in the server NS, and route guidance information indicating the retrieved route is distributed to the portable terminal MS. Thus, even when the user forgets the parking position of the vehicle possessed by himself/herself, the route from the present position of the user to the parking position can be presented to the user.
