PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of recording only necessary photographed image on a one-time memory capable of wiring data only once. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging section for generating a photographed image data representing a photographed image by imaging an object, a data recorder for recording the photographed image data generated in the imaging section capable of mounting a recording medium of either a one-time memory on which data are writable only once or a reusable memory on which data can be overwritten, and a decision section for deciding whether the recording medium mounted on the data recorder is the one-time memory or the reusable memory. When the recording medium mounted on the data recording section is decided to be the one-time memory in the decision section, a notifier for notifying a user that the photographed image data generated in the imaging section are recorded on the recording medium in a non-erasable manner.
