PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device capable of improving the positional accuracy of the light receiving surface of a photodetector with respect to a main body frame and thinning the main body frame. SOLUTION: In the optical head device 1, the photodetector 7 includes a transparent resin layer 7d stacked on a base substrate 7b by burying a light receiving part 7c having a light receiving surface 7e mounted on the base substrate 7b, and the photodetector 7 is fixed to a second frame 62 while the incident surface 7a of the reflected light of the transparent resin layer 7d abuts on the second frame 62.
