PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator work support device, capable of prohibiting unauthorized use of a dedicated work terminal device and a small portable memory. SOLUTION: This work support device comprises a first authentication information storage part 22 storing authentication information comprising personal information of an operator permitted to carry and use the dedicated work terminal device 13, and specific information to specify the dedicated work terminal device 13 provided in the dedicated work terminal device 13. It is also provided with the small portable memory 14 including a second authentication information storage part 26 storing the same authentication information as the authentication information stored in the first authentication information storage part 22. The small portable memory 14 is connected to the dedicated work terminal device 13, and as it is determined that the authentication information in the first authentication information storage part 22 and the second authentication information storage part 26 coincides by the dedicated work terminal device 13, work support software stored in the dedicated work terminal device 13 becomes usable.
