PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of a support for an image material, in which the change of the backing printing pattern of the support for the image material is easy, which has a favorable production efficiency and in which the waste of resources is hard to develop and further the manufacturing method of the support for the image material, which can produce both the support for the image material with logo marks in a large lot and that with logo marks in a small lot efficiently. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the support for the image material, in which the contents of the backing printing of the support for the resin covering paper type image material is changed, is executed through the opening and closing operation of a plurality of ink transfer nips arranged in the running direction of a web.
