PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the replacement time for a filter to be accurately grasped, and to facilitate the maintenance for a shuttle. SOLUTION: This shuttle lubricating mechanism (100) for a sewing machine is equipped with an oil storing means (3) for storing an oil (2) which is fed to the shuttle (1) of the sewing machine, an oil feeding means (4) which feeds the oil (2) stored in the oil storing means (3) to the shuttle (1), oil feeding paths (61 and 62) which connect the shuttle (1) and the oil feeding means (4), an oil draining path (8) which is branched at the middle of the oil feeding paths (61 and 62) and is connected with the oil storing means (3), an oil draining flow rate adjusting means (9) which adjusts the flow rate of the oil (2) flowing in the oil draining path (8), and the filter (10) which filters the oil (2) being fed to the shuttle (1). In the shuttle lubricating mechanism (100), the oil draining flow rate adjusting means (9) is constituted in such a manner that a pressure in the oil feeding paths (61 and 62) may become less than a specified pressure value when the adjustment is performed until the flow rate of the oil (2) flowing in the oil draining path (8) becomes a minimum value.
