PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hedge trimmer reduced in its own noise without interfering in the forward/rearward movement of a shear blade. SOLUTION: The hedge trimmer is provided with a hedge trimmer main body, cams 88a, 88b rotated by a rotation source built in the hedge trimmer main body, and shear blades 40, 50 guided to be movable forward and rearward relative to the hedge trimmer main body. The cam comprises an eccentric one whose diameter getting to its peripheral surface from the center of rotation varies in its circumferential direction. Fitting holes 46, 56 fitting to the cams are formed at the shear blade. Elastically deformable parts 47e, 57e elastically deformable toward the outside of the fitting holes are formed respectively at at least part of the peripheral surfaces of the fitting holes.
