VACUUM HEAT INSULATION TUBE

A vacuum heat insulation tube is a double structure tube having the inner tu be and the outer tube. The gap between the inner tube and the outer tube is vacuum drawn. Between the inner tube and the outer tube is a gas adsorption member. The gas adsorption member has a getter material capable of adsorbing gas, a case for vacuum-sealing the getter material, and a breaking member deformed at a predetermined temperature to break the case. When the case is broken by the breaking member to be released from the sealed state, the gett er material adsorbs gas that is present in the gap between inner tube and the outer tube. This enables to reduce vacuum processing time and to maintain a high degree of vacuum for a long period. A super-conductive cable having thi s vacuum heat insulation tube is also provided.
