<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely drive a slide door by a driving force of a driving source only when it is likely that the slide door is moved by its own weight at a high speed in a direction of inclination. <P>SOLUTION: A control means 20 carries out driving control of a clutch to connect when it is measured that the slide door 2 moves by a predetermined first movement distance L1 from a stop position 2B in an opening or closing direction, and that it further moves from the position, after the movement by the first movement distance L1, by a predetermined second movement distance L2 while the clutch is in a cut-off state.
