<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming method by which a clear color image is obtained. <P>SOLUTION: A step where an intermediate transfer belt 36 driven to circulate by a driving roller is brought into press-contact with a latent image carrier 10 on a more upstream side in a belt circulating direction than the driving roller, and a latent image is formed on the latent image carrier by setting the point of time when a mark formed on the intermediate transfer belt is detected by a detection means as reference and developed with developer to obtain a visible image, which is transferred to the intermediate transfer belt at a press-contact part T1 is repeated several times by using the developer having different colors, thereby a plurality of color visible images are superposed on the intermediate transfer belt to form the color image. When it is assumed that time taken from starting the detection of the mark until detecting the mark for the first time is t4 and time taken until the elongation of the intermediate transfer belt between a laying part wound round the driving roller and a press-contact part becomes stable is t5, the mark on the intermediate transfer belt is located at a position where relation t5≤t4 holds, and forming the latent image is started by setting the point of time when the mark is detected for the first time as reference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
