<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for correcting defective pixels that does not require any complicated procedures even if all pixels of an image pickup device should be corrected. <P>SOLUTION: The image pickup device 2 can be rotated by a rotator 3. A corrector 5 corrects a defective pixel by replacing a defective pixel in captured data obtained before the image pickup device 2 is rotated by the rotator 3 with the corresponding pixel of the captured data obtained when the image pickup device 2 is rotated by a prescribed angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
