<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical preparation for the treatment and/or prevention of inflammatory bowel diseases and enabling safe and continuous intake and provide a food for the treatment and/or prevention of inflammatory bowel diseases. <P>SOLUTION: The agent for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases contains a 2-6C short-chain fatty acid as an active component.
