<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical storage medium wherein satisfactory recording characteristics can be secured even when in-groove recording is performed in an L1 layer. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium D1 is formed by bonding an L0 layer and the L1 layer by using an intermediate bonding layer 4. A reflection film 6 and a recording layer 5 are sequentially formed on a substrate 7 having a land 7L and a groove 7G to form the L1 layer. The substrate 7 is so formed that a relation of α1≥cos<SP>-1</SP>(20/Tb) is satisfied when a side wall angle formed by a surface 7La1 passing along an upper surface 7La of the land and a side wall 7Gb of the groove and the thickness of the reflection film 6 formed on a bottom surface 7Ga of the groove are defined as α1 and Tb, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
