<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and appropriately prevent other people from being disturbed by electromagnetic waves emitted from ringing tone and call speeking by changing a calling operation mode on the basis of tag information when an incoming call arrives. <P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone 12 includes a radio tag reader for reading information from a radio tag 18. Portable manner information showing "electromagnetic wave limitation" is recorded in a tag 18c in a hospital in which electromagnetic waves are limited, portable manner information showing "volume limitation" is recorded in a tag 18b in a library in which volume is limited, and portable manner information showing "unlimitedness" is recorded in a tag 18a over a road with no limitation. When an incoming call is detected, the cellular phone 12 reads information from the nearest radio tag 18, discriminates the read information and sets a ringing operation mode in a mode corresponding to a discrimination result among "voice calling", "non-voice calling" and calling operation stop". <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
