<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the gradation reproducibility of a highlight part in an image correction device and method and an image correction program. <P>SOLUTION: Each highlight importance is set. Based on image data, each luminance correction value (correction function) regulating an output luminance value corresponding to an input luminance value is calculated. Based on the highlight importance, the luminance correction value is corrected so that the ratio of output luminance value to input luminance value in the highlight part is increased. The corrected luminance correction values are integrated based on a certainty factor showing with how much certainty images showing predetermined two or more subject kinds are contained in an image shown by accepted image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
