PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control method of an air conditioner capable of saving energy as it is possible to conduct separate operation and total operation according to required heating/cooling ability by installing a plurality of module indoor units for an indoor device and to provide the air conditioner capable of being installed and managed easily by providing a new indoor device structure which is a module of a form to be not embedded in a ceiling. SOLUTION: The air conditioner consists of the plurality of indoor units which is provided as a module for the indoor device, a plurality of discharge ports formed at the plurality of indoor units and a control part for controlling action of the plurality of indoor units and the discharge ports according to operation state.
