PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester fiber structure having improved color deepness, its durability and fastness of color and provide a method for producing the structure. SOLUTION: The polyester fiber structure has an amino resin coating film containing silicon oxide and formed on the surface of a polyester fiber. The structure is produced by applying an aqueous liquid containing an amino resin monomer, silicon oxide and a catalyst to a polyester fiber structure and steaming the product to form an amino resin coating film containing silicon oxide on the surface of the fiber.
