PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply method of a lubricant by which constant lubrication effect is obtained without being affected by ambient temperature by supplying a high-viscosity lubricant to a rolling roll without generating the clogging in piping. SOLUTION: In the supply method of the lubricant for supplying the lubricant onto the surface of the rolling roll during hot rolling, an emulsion lubricant is supplied onto the surface of the rolling roll by cooling the lubricant the viscosity of which is 10-400 cSt at 40°C to 0-15°C when jetting it from a lubricant supply nozzle.
