PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out display at a position easy for a user to visually recognize without the need of an electric wiring line or the like that can impede the visibility of the user and the operability in a configuration in which notification related to an ink tank state such as an ink residual quantity is carried out by an LED or the like light emitting part. SOLUTION: The light emitting part (101) and a display part (122) for displaying information by emitting light are separated from each other. A light guide part (121) which carries out optical connection between both parts is set at the liquid container. Accordingly, the need of turning around the electric wiring line on the ink tank is eliminated, and a light emitting source and the display part can be arranged separately at optimum positions.
