PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a positioning state wherein a setting mechanism to a mounting part and the setting operation are simple and sure in an ink tank which is equipped with a supply port for ink, a contact part for presenting information of the ink tank side through mutual contact of electrical contacts, a light emitting part and a display part for displaying emission of light from the light emitting part to the outside, also to secure a good connection state between the supply port and the contact part while a setting force is small, and in addition to display the emission of light from the light emitting part at a position easy to visually recognize for a user. SOLUTION: An engaging part 5 which can secure through engagement with a securing part 155 that becomes a positioning reference at the time of setting into a holder 150 is set at a back face of the ink tank 1. Moreover, a supporting member 3 which acts an elastic force for making the engagement carried out is set at the front face side of the ink tank 1. The supply port is arranged at an ink tank bottom face between the back face and the front face. A slant face 130 is formed at a ridge part which connects the bottom face and the front face with each other. A contact 102 is set here.
