PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method of a chemical reaction relating to cyanohydrin. SOLUTION: The invention presents a method of suppressing the decomposition of cyanohydrin in an exothermic chemical reaction relating to cyanohydrin to the minimum. This method includes a process for manufacturing a mixed product having a bulk temperature by introducing a reacting medium and a reacting substance into a tubular reactor having an inside part mixing means, mixing the reacting medium and the reacting substance to form a homogeneous reaction mixture, removing heat from the reaction process, and reacting the reaction substance. Also, this method includes a process for cooling the reacting medium to a temperature lower than the bulk temperature of the product mixed with the reaction medium by 1-10°C before introducing the reaction medium into the tubular reactor.
