PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the relative rotation of an inner rotating hook and an outer rotating hook of a horizontal rotary hook, to prevent generation of noise, to enhance the stability of the inner rotating hook, to reduce the manufacturing cost of the horizontal rotary hook and to improve the productivity of the horizontal rotating shuttle when the inner rotating hook and the outer rotating hook with a hook are made of a synthetic resin material. SOLUTION: The horizontal rotary hook 1 comprises the synthetic resin inner rotating hook and the outer rotating hook 3 with a synthetic resin hook member 5 with a hook peripheral wall part 32 and a hook body 33 integrally formed with the hook peripheral wall part. The hook member 5 is assembled to an outer rotating hook body 4 as a separate component. A first tapered face 32a inclined outward toward the front side is formed at an end on the front side in the direction A of rotation of the outer rotating hook in the hook peripheral wall part 32 without applying any work in forming the hook member 5 and the outer rotating hook body 4 so that a thread guide of the inner rotating hook does not collide with the hook peripheral part 32 or the hook body part 33 when the outer rotating hook 3 is rotated/driven in the direction A of rotation of the outer rotating hook, and a second tapered face 33a inclined downward toward the front side is formed on the upper surface of an end of the hook body part on the front side in the direction of rotation of the outer rotating hook.
