<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner replenishing device and a toner replenishing method by which discharged toner inferior in fluidity is efficiently recovered without causing clogging. <P>SOLUTION: The toner replenishing device 10 has: a toner storing member 12 for storing the discharged toner recovered after use and new toner before use in the state where the toner storing member 12 is partitioned by a partitioning member 16; and driving members 14 and 22 for moving the partitioning member 16 in the shaft direction of the toner storing member 12.
