OPTICAL PICKUP DEVICE AND OPTICAL INFORMATION REPRODUCING DEVICE OR OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which improves quality of various signals such as a servo signal by reducing coma aberration generated when convergent and divergent rays pass through a parallel flat plate without increasing the number of components.

SOLUTION: The optical pickup device is provided with; a semiconductor laser light source 1; an objective lens 6 for condensing a light beam emitted from the semiconductor light source 1 on an optical recording medium 100; a photo-detector 8 for detecting the light beam reflected by the optical information recording medium 100; and a beam splitter 3 which reflects the light beam emitted from the semiconductor light source 1 to guide it to the objective lens 6 and also causes the reflected light beam from the optical information recording medium 100 to pass through the beam splitter 3 and guides it to the photo-detector 8. The surface 3a of the beam splitter 3 on the semiconductor laser light source side is a plane surface, and the surface 3b on the photo-detector side is a curved surface convex toward outside.
