<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control light irradiated from a light-irradiating window of a lamp shade. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp device for an automobile headlight is structured by (a) a lamp 18 mounted on a reflector and including a light-emitting part 28 emitting light towards the reflector, (b) a lamp shade 16 including a light-irradiating window for a low beam 46 and a light-irradiating window for a high beam 48 irradiating light from the lamp 18 towards the reflector, and (c) a lamp position changing equipment to reciprocate the lamp 18 between two positions of a low-beam position X and a high-beam position Y. (d) The lamp shade 16 is provided between the low-beam position X and the high-beam position Y at a position facing the light-irradiating window 48 for the high beam, a light-shielding plate 54 to shield the irradiated light from the light-irradiating window 48 for the high beam is provided when the light-emitting part 28 is moved to the low-beam position X. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
