<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of developing a control system for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU (electronic control unit) 1 for performing the control of a function estimated not to have evolution among functions (e.g. control for traveling the vehicle at a constant speed) and an ECU 2 performing the control of a function estimated to have evolution (e.g. control for traveling the vehicle to keep an inter-vehicle distance up to the vehicle ahead constant by detecting the distance) are separately constructed. According to this construction, even if specifications and control contents of the function estimated to have evolution are altered, only the design change of the ECU 2 can cope with such alteration, and only whether or not the ECU2 is mounted can cope with the presence and absence of the function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
