<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of performing proper defective correction by preventing erroneous correction. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with an imaging unit having a CCD 16; signal processing unit 2 for processing an image signal outputted from the imaging unit; image processing unit 3 for applying image processing to the image signal processed in the unit 2; V line defect detecting unit 52 for detecting the position and level of a V line defect being a linear fault extending from a defective portion on a vertical transfer line of the CCD 16, on the basis of predetermined detecting standards; accuracy determining means 55 for determining the accuracy as to whether or not a detection result of the V line defect detecting means indicates the true V line defect, on the basis of the predetermined determining standards; and V line defect correcting unit 53 for selecting correcting conditions on the basis of the determination of the unit 55, and correcting the V line defect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
