<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting sensor capable of identifying a fraudulent light illuminated by a fraudulent person. <P>SOLUTION: This detecting sensor 100 is constituted of a photointerrupter 10 and a control circuit 28. The photointerrupter 10 is provided with an approximately U-shaped case 14 having a passage 12 for passing a detecting medium K therethrough, and a light emitting device 16 and a light receiving member 18 composed of a regular light receiving element 24a and auxiliary light receiving elements disposed inside the case 14 in the both sides of the passage 12 facing to each other.
