PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a apparatus for explorating buried pipe having high reliability for the results of exploration of pipes to be explored connected to a buried pipe line. SOLUTION: The buried pipe exploring apparatus comprises both a transmitting device 10, for transmitting the AC exploring current to the buried pipe line H and a magnetic field detecting device, for detecting the magnetic field generated from a current flowing through the pipe M to be explored. The transmitting device 10 has a function for inspecting the state of continuity of the buried pipe line H, in addition to the function for exploring the pipe M to be explored connected to the buried pipe line H and comprises a first current-regulating output circuit 13 and a second current-regulating output circuit 14 for regulatably amplifying the signal current from an oscillating circuit 11; a continuity inspecting circuit 20 for supplying the signal current for one exposed part Kr of the buried pipe line H, making it flow through the buried pipe line H, and inspecting the state of continuity of the buried pipe line H on the basis of the magnitude of a return current which has returned to the other exposed part Kr'; and a power circuit 65 for supplying electric power for a meter 60, for displaying the state of continuity of the buried pipe line H and these circuits.
