PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sizes of a lens drive device, imaging device, and imaging instrument. SOLUTION: The lens drive device has lenses 2a, 2b for imaging an object, a lens frame 3 for holding the lenses 2a, 2b and having a guide hole 35 formed substantially in parallel with the optical axis of the lenses 2a, 2b, a fixation section slidably engaging with the guide hole 35 and having a guide shaft 4 for guiding the lens frame 3 in the direction of the optical axis, a coil 5 fixed to the lens frame 3, a magnet 7 engaging with the coil 5, and a yoke 6 on which the magnet 7 is installed.
