PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel for increasing a positive column region and a xenon (Xe) divided voltage with a low discharge start voltage and enhancing emission efficiency. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel comprises a first substrate 10 and a second one 20 arranged opposingly with a prescribed interval; an address electrode 12 formed while being extended in the first direction; and a sustaining electrode 131 and a scanning electrode 132 that are extended in a second direction orthogonally crossing the first direction while being separated from the address electrode 12 and are formed corresponding to respective discharge cells 18, 28. The sustaining electrode 131 and the scanning electrode 132 are expanded in a direction from the first substrate 10 to the second one 20 and are formed opposingly while being separated each other. At least one of the sustaining electrode 131 and the scanning electrode 132 has a projection projecting in the center direction of the discharge cell. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
