PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fill a container with a viscous mixture without mixing air bubbles, to keep an appearance and a quality of a bulk good for a long time by preventing the air bubbles from mixing into the viscous mixture, and to prevent its weight from varying. SOLUTION: To fill the container with the viscous mixture, a movable member slidably inserted into the container is positioned toward a lower opening of the container by a negative pressure suction, the inside of the container toward an upper opening from the movable member is put in a negative pressure, and the viscous mixture is filled there. An apparatus for carrying out the above filling method includes a container body 12, the movable member 16 inserted into the container from the lower opening, and a bottom lid 18 having a vent 19 communicating with the inside of the container fixed to the lower opening 15. Thus a nozzle mounting side of the container body 12 and a filling machine side are connected, and a nozzle mounting part 14 and the bottom lid 18 are respectively connected with the side of a suction machine, thereby putting the inside of the container in a negative pressure through the nozzle mounting part 14 and the vent 19 of the bottom lid 18.
