GRAIN-ORIENTED ELECTROMAGNETIC STEEL SHEET AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet produced according to an inhibitorless process, having a composition comprising, by mass, 2.0 to 4.5% of Si and 0.01 to 0.5% of Mn, wherein the number of, among oxides containing Ca and/or Mg, those of 1 to 3 µm diameter per cm² as unit area of a cross section perpendicular to rolling is = 400. The obtained grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet exhibits excellent magnetic performance stably throughout the whole length of coil.
