<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium capable of making a record with a laser beam having a wavelength of 390-430 nm and excellent in recording characteristics, such as sensitivity, a reflection coefficient, and a modulation factor, and to provide a method for recording information, capable of recording the information with a high density, by using the optical information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: This optical information recording medium has a recording layer capable of recording the information by irradiation with the laser beam, wherein the recording layer contains at lest one kind of metal chelate compound in which a compound expressed by general formula (1) is used as a ligand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
